Artifacts of my life

The term "Artifact" seems to have multiple meanings in English; On the one hand it is a treasure, an item from a time long gone.

On the other, it is the disruption or breakdown of a picture or an image.

I have been working to pack up my existence as I prepare for my final departure from Denver in just 2 weeks time. In doing so, I have been gathering all of my things scattered around the city, and trying to consolidate them.

I find, among many items, my first teddy bear (A Koala), which has been with me since... well, close enough to birth that it really doesn't matter now; An oil well music... box... thing that my grandfather gave me; All of my Star Con badges... A stuffed Taco Bell Chihuahua that -when pressed- says "Heeeeeere Leezurd Leezurd Leezurd"

Do I really need these? Well, they are small, and they do represent a time I really have outgrown...

they are artifacts now... they serve no purpose anymore except to remind me of the past.
The question is; are they treasured items... or are they simply disruptions and breakdowns of the picture?
